Due to the North South divide between my boyfriend and I and our love of travel and go-pro-ing we decided to take the bank holiday weekend as a perfect opportunity to see the sights and delights of the North and South and hunting down the best burgers of course. So we headed down to Cambridge, then London and then back home to Grimsby for my best gals 20th birthday before trekking up to Newcastle!

My advice - HOW TO GET STUFF DONE.

Recently I have been up to my eyeballs in life. My placement and uni work have taken up all my time, every spare second I have and sometimes it gets tough but you have to think of the end result and this quote above only spurs me on to work through wait for it - this is an emotional subject - my LAST summer ever (I'm getting old). So how do I get stuff done? How do I motivate myself through the tough times, the tired times and the damn right boring times?

1. Remain positive in every situation - do not focus on the negatives what ever you do, you will get stuck in a rut, go round in circles end up being one big mad negative mess and hate everything  (ok I get like this some of the time it's normal) BUT everyone has to go through awful times, boring times and stressful times its part of life accept it, be positive and focus on what is to come which is often bigger and better things. No one achieved anything sat on the floor crying about an essay.

2. Get enough sleep - sleep all day, every day, all night, nap in between lectures, nap at work (if you can - ok wouldn't really advise that) but seriously get enough sleep it sets you up for the day with a clear positive mind to tackle any task you have.

3. Think to your future - Sometimes you are so stressed, bored fed up, frustrated with what you are doing but every single baby step, every piece of work, every dull day will lead you one step closer to future success if you can get through each day you will be one step closer to your future and you'll be grateful to your former self for getting through that monotonous task, that awful essay and that time of pure stress and tears.

4. Don't give up - my favourite quote to get me through what seems like ridicuously hard tasks is - It always seems impossible until it's done - I live by this quote at uni and I am so proud of myself for what I have acheived thus far (WAIT, I actually completed my DRP?)

5. Love what you do - I couldn't emphasise this any more, get a job you love, do the course you want, do what you love and you will do it well. I am beyond happy with my course choice it fits me perfectly I love learning and I couldn't think of anything I would want to study more at Uni. I quit my awful job at McDonalds and got a placement I love which will set me up for my whole future and hopefully be the key to my success. Finally, at the last minute I've changed my whole dissertation topic and given myself a shed load of work just to do something I love - take every opportunity that life throws at you if it will lead you to the right path in doing something you love, don't take the conventional path or the one your grandma, dad, mum, dog wants you to take, it is your life and life has a funny way of working itself out so quit your job, change your mind on Uni and stop doing things that make you unhappy - life always works itself out in the end, if it doesn't it's not the end.

WEEK IN PHOTOS #1

Apologies for being a bit MIA recently, horrendous amounts of uni work (in summer - I know!) and life has been getting in the way but here are some photos of my week, which are mainly photos of me and Sam playing with his GoPro in various locations (yes we do love the beach)
